Frequently Asked Questions

I have made a page dedicated to questions I often get in enquires to help give you as much information as you can before you possibly choose me as your tattoo artist 🖤

This is not a complete list by any means so please contact me via instagram or email if you have a question I havent answered here.

Black and Grey Tattoos

Q: Do you do black and grey tattoos?

A: Unfortunately I do not. I love dark tattoos with a lot of black but my brain just doesnt work in black and grey and I need to add small bits of colour to feel like the tattoo is complete . Please see some examples below.

Cover ups and Reworks

Q: Can you cover up, rework or complete an existing tattoo?

A: Cover ups and reworks are a case by case basis. I am always happy to take on these projects but it depends a lot on the existing tattoo and the clients expectation. My main goal with these projects is to pull focus with detail rather than completely cover an existing design. This gives us more freedom and more realistic expectations. Laser may be required before we can start a cover up but I will always give you the options of what is and is not acheivable with or without laser. I do require all clients to come in for a consult for these bookings. You can see some examples below.

Before - no laser

Healed Photos

Q: Do you have healed photos of your work?

A: Absolutely! I forget to take photos of about 95% of the healed tattoos I see unfortunately but here are the most recent I have remembered to photograph

Deposits

Q: Do you require a deposit to book?

A: Yes, all bookings require a $200 deposit - dates or flash designs are not guaranteed until this is received. For ongoing work, your deposit will be transferred to each booking and taken off of the total of the last session.

Deposits are non-refundable, cannot be transferred to another person and require 48hrs notice to change your booking for any reason. If an appointment is cancelled within 48hours or you have changed your appointment more then twice your deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook.

Location

Q: Where are you located?

A: I work at Daddy Long Legs tattoo. We are a private studio in the inner east side of Brisbane, QLD, Australia. The address is only provided to clients once a deposit is received.

Touch Ups

Q: Do you offer free touch ups?

A: Absolutely, I understand tattoos don’t always heal perfectly. I am happy to offer a free touch up within 6 months on most tattoos (areas with a high dropout rate I cannot offer a free touch up but I will explain this to you when booking your appointment. Please contact me within 2 months of your appointment with photos so I can ensure I put aside enough time to complete your touch up.

Pricing

Q: What is your rate?

A: I charge by the hour (170/hr). I I charge by the hour (170/hr) $1100 for a full day (11am-6pm with a small lunch break).

Quotes

Q: Can I get a quote for my session?

A: Absolutely! I give quotes in time and usually give a decent sized window, for example 3-5hrs. The time it takes to do any tattoo can vary and has a lot of factors. On the day I will let you know the time taken (excluding a break) and give you the exact price.

Payment

Q: Do I need to bring cash?

A: You don’t need to bring cash to your appointment but you are welcome to pay in cash. I accept bank transfer for all of my appointments. Your initial depsoit will need to be paid via bank transfer also.

Rescheduling

Q: Can I reshedule my appointment?

A: Absolutely, I understand that sometimes life can throw you a curve ball. I ask that you respect this is my only form of income and to please give me as much notice as possible. I do work my own hours, so I may be able to accomodate day changes within the same week, providing I am not overbooked.

To retain your deposit I require 48hrs notice to change your booking for any reason. If an appointment is cancelled within 48hours or you have changed your appointment more then twice your deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook.

Consults

Q: Do you require or offer consults?

A: I do not require a consult to book in a tattoo, but I will request photos of the space. I am happy to accomodate a consult if the client would prefer it. If you are bookings in a coverup or rework a consult is required.
